In Their Words
“I had the pleasure of attending Rony Gao’s 16-hour Short Consecutive Course in Spring 2024, and it was truly enriching. Rony’s extensive interpreting background and evident passion for teaching shone throughout the course.
The course content was meticulously prepared, providing a comprehensive journey from the fundamentals of consecutive interpretation to advanced applications. Additionally, each lecture was well-structured, featuring clear explanations and engaging examples that greatly enhanced our understanding.
One aspect that stood out to me was Rony’s dedication to providing personalized feedback for each participant. He welcomed questions and discussion, always ensuring everyone grasped the concepts before moving forward.
Overall, Rony’s course not only deepened my understanding of consecutive interpretation but also inspired me to advance my interpretation skills further in the field. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in exploring the captivating world of interpreting under the guidance of such an exceptional instructor.
”
“What I like the most about this course is what and how Rony chose to teach within these limited hours. As a bilingual speaker, I can “feel” the differences between the two languages but I cannot summarize them, thus I cannot make specific changes in my interpretation. In every class, there are some “a-ha” moments that help me label the differences I “felt” before. I’m glad I chose Rony’s course as my first stepping stone into this new field and I believe what I’ve learned here can help me in the long way ahead.”
“Interpreting between Chinese and English has many unique challenges. I had been searching for a long-consecutive note-taking course that could address those challenges. Thanks to Rony for offering such an eye-opening experience! The methods taught in this course are very practical for handling those challenges. The course was also highly interactive, with plenty of hands-on practice. I would highly recommend it! ”
“I emerged from this course a more confident and polished interpreter. It was incredibly well-organized, with clear objectives set for each week. Rony is a true master of his craft and a stellar instructor. The level of thought and dedication he put into this course is something you have to experience for yourself. ”
“Rony老师备课用心,干货满满,课堂互动性很强。Rony擅长因材施教,无论是翻译新人还是有从业经验的译员都可以从中获益。”
“Rony的教学理论与实践相结合,一针见血帮学员找到问题所在以及如何改进和应对。虽然是和别的学员一起上课,但每个学生都可以得到量身定做的建议。如果你有机会上Rony的课,听他的讲座,或者他以后出书,请不要犹豫,入股不亏。”
